Senior Web Analyst
Our client needs a strategic thinking Web Analyst with the proven ingenuity and outstanding specialized expertise to raise the bar on the analytical needs of our rapidly growing commercial web channel.
The successful incumbent will engage the trust of and engender a sense of urgency while working closely with the website marketing and technology teams, other stakeholders and external business partners. This key position will ensure that best practices based on appropriate metrics are applied to website decisions. Specific job content examples and deliverables include:
- Web traffic analysis using clickstream tools such as Coremetrics, WebTrends, Omniture and Google Analytics aimed at in-depth views of customer and web channel behavior.
- Data capture from multiple “listening posts”
- Application of standard BI tools such as Brio or Business Objects to create and maintain dashboards and to make presentations to top management
- Provide data-driven recommendations and core insights based on a clear understanding of measurements and objective to create fundamental improvements to site visitors’ experience and to business outcomes
- Implement and measure onsite testing plans, create and improve funnel reporting, and identify gaps in data capture and analysis and collaboratively implement enhancements
- Collaborate with external partners such as consultants and agencies to assist with data collection and reporting.
Qualifications of right candidate will include:
- At least four years’ experience with standard analysis tools such as Omniture, ClickTracks, WebTrends, HBX, CoreMetrics in support of ecommerce in a cross-functional team environment
- Solid experience with advanced web analytics methodologies such as experimentation and testing, competitive analysis, surveys and market research and with Business Intelligence tools, such as Brio, Business Objects, MicroStrategy, and Cognos
- Experience writing and tuning SQL queries in an online or offline environment
- Expertise in the SEM/PPC and SEO strategies, including experience measuring success of related experiments and campaigns
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of end users and technical resources
- Exposure to project management skills, business process redesign principles, tools and techniques a plus
- Bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred) or equivalent
