Business Intelligence group is seeking a highly skilled candidate with an understanding of the media business, an ability to synthesize metrics and numbers into practical insights, and able to communicate those insights with enthusiasm.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Use a variety of reporting tools to assess program performance and customer behavior.
- Combine quantitative data with practical insights
- Make recommendations to management based on observations
- Conduct competitive analysis for benchmarking purposes
- Work cross-functionally to implement key projects
- Respond to ad hoc requests
- Monitor Key Performance Indicators on a regular basis
- Work with internal business customers to define reporting requirements
- Provide training on how to interpret and use data for business analysis.
REQUIREMENTS
- Strong analytical and modeling skills û detail oriented.
- Strong problem solving skills and thought leadership.
- Working knowledge of database technologies SQL knowledge a must
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects Communicate clearly, in charts, text, PowerPoint and oral presentations.
- Strong MS Excel skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and take on increasing levels of responsibility.
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in an analytical field (computer science, statistics, business, marketing, communications, etc)
PREFERENCES
- Familiarity with BI tools (Oracle, Cognos, etc.) a plus
- Advanced analytics (SAS or SPSS) a plus
