Position provides customized and comprehensive statistical & analytical information for business decision-making. The position’s mission is to help senior management in Customer Contact Strategy (CCS) shape and improve campaign strategies and initiatives, identify opportunities for growing debit activity and sales while sustaining both receivables and profitable behaviors to meet portfolio profitability goals.
- Design, gather data, execute statistical and marketing analysis; interpret results, formulate recommendations, and present to management. Provide analytical support for sizing, opportunity evaluation, and building performance assumptions for new campaigns. Provide and interpret performance reads for existing campaigns.
- In additional to project responsibilities, position acts as subject matter expert by providing advice to senior management and business partners on the effective use of analytical methodologies, particularly those related to probability, decision tree, time series data, business planning & forecasting, and econometric modeling.
– Establish and maintain a thorough understanding of the statistical and business impact of key variables on account and campaign performance. Proactively identify trends or developments that may impact business plans or performance or which may represent opportunities.
-A Master’s degree in Economics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Business Administration, or other quantitative analysis equally concentrated area a must.
-2+ years of applied mathematical & statistical analysis experience within marketing analytics area. Experience with consumer segmentation and behavior profiling, campaign performance evaluation, profitability tracking, and pricing simulation a plus.
-Strong Excel & SQL skills are required. Solid experience with SAS or similar statistical packages in UNIX and/or PC environments a plus.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Candidate must have the ability to work with minimum supervision, present results clearly and precisely to management and business clients, and demonstrate outstanding problem solving skills.
Business statistical analysis, preferably in credit card industry, banking, or direct marketing.
