SAS, Credit Risk Sr. Credit Risk Analyst:

SUMMARY Measures, monitors, and analyzes historical trends and external factors impacting the credit risk exposure for loan products. Develops detailed analysis, utilizing sophisticated analytical and financial modeling and statistical techniques to predict, evaluate and manage the credit risk across various loan portfolios. Assesses lending product/portfolio performance specific to credit loss and financial elements. Under minimal supervision, performs complex work assignments and problem resolution.

RESPONSIBILITIES : Acquires and applies advanced knowledge of the business, its products, and processes. : Synthesizes analyses, identifies root causes, and develops and recommends key work products. : Recognizes appropriate credit risk strategies to be developed and implemented. : Guides team members in the development and delivery of their work products. : Assembles key participants and guides and facilitates teams in the development and implementation of key initiatives.

REQUIREMENTS : 6+ years relevant credit risk analysis experience and/or applicable analysis experience. : Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel and applicable databases. : Advanced knowledge of data analysis tools including skills to develop analysis queries and procedures in SQL, SAS, and other business intelligence and analysis software applications for data segmentation, aggregation, and statistics. : Ability to work with large databases and datasets for extraction, conversion into useful business information, and analytical purposes. : Advanced knowledge of industry data sources. : Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent work experience). : Thorough knowledge of product segmentations, financial instrument relationships, and credit loss activities and key drivers.

Preferred : 2+ years experience in mortgage lending business and evaluation of mortgage servicing rights. : Master degree in quantitative study such as Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or Economics. : Proficiency in data analysis tools (such as SAS), MS Office products, and real estate lending data/process/platforms. : Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, verbal and written communication skills.
